Wow...does this page bring back some memories. I was a Bogue Rat from Nov 88-Aug 91. I worked at Crash Fire Rescue with some of the finest Marines to ever wear the uniform. Tim Bockelman, Tom Larson, Corey Earle, John Brodie, Sydney Grayson and Michael Mister. You guys were an awesome team to serve with. I've been out of the MOS for about 8 years now and jumped ship to Computer Networking but the days at Bogue and Saudi Arabia will always be the most memorable. We kicked ass when that C130 went down at Mishab. Anyway, I hope to hear from any of you real soon. Take care and Semper Fi!!! |

I was a Bogue Rat from 85-88. Was the Weather Officer in 86, then when MABS-14 was dissolved and the MWSS-271 was formed, I was the squadron adjutant.....I remember when we were all ordered by the CO to not ever refer to the Bogue Rat again.....Rats Rule..... |

I was assigned to bouge in 1969-1970 The Commadant flew in and "COMDEMMED" Bouge in about 1969. We had to be resnet everynite to Cherry Point than report to Bouge the next Morning. I'd like to hear from my budies; Pete Fernadez,Ted Carlson's friends (I was there when he was killed 6/8/70 in Nam.) Cpl. Niles, the names have blurred over the years but there were so few with a 7011 mos I'd love to here from any of you "Bough Rats" I was hit 6 days before rotatation and am now retired.
